2017 INFINITI Q60: Premium sports coupe fans will be heading to the Infiniti exhibit at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show to be among to first see the twin-turbo powered 2017 Infiniti Q60. Visually, the Q60 has a low stance, crafted with a powerful exterior that melds taut, muscular lines with active shutter, double-arch grille, LED headlights, 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels (20-in. optional) and crescent-shaped C-pillars that arc forward. Note the vents in the front fenders that direct air out of the engine bay, and the narrow door-mounted side mirrors designed to maintain a wide angle of rear visibility. Buyers can select between a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 in 300-or 400-horsepower ratings and a 208-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four- cylinder engine. The Q60's seven-speed automatic transmission has been engineered with gear ratios spaced to allow for responsive, direct acceleration. Power is channeled through the rear wheels, and the available intelligent all-wheel drive system redistributes power to each of the four wheels as conditions change. Infiniti's active and passive safety technologies include around view monitor, intelligent cruise control with distance control assist, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure prevention, blind spot intervention and backup collision intervention. Infiniti representatives described how the tailored cockpit was modeled around the concept of a "driver's grove," so that the driver is always comfortable. Depending on trim level, the interior trims feature aluminum, black wood or carbon-fiber highlights, while versions with white or red leather seating add a silver glass fiber accent. Making its world debut in a production vehicle, the Q60 is fitted with an all-new 13-speaker, Bose performance series sound system, matched with noise cancelling technology. The word on the show floor is that the 2017 Infiniti Q60 sports coupe is scheduled to go on sale in selected markets later in 2016.
