The Elantra is powered by either a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 147 horsepower and mates to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, or a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 128 horsepower and mates to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Elantra is front-wheel drive. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder has EPA-estimated fuel-economy numbers of 29 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while the 1.4-liter clocks in at 32/40.
The Elantra is available in three trims - SE, Eco and Limited.
