2017 GMC Terrain: The 2017 GMC Terrain is a compact five-seat crossover SUV that competes with vehicles such as the Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe and Nissan Murano. It's a corporate sibling to the Chevrolet Equinox. New for 2017 are an appearance package and a new exterior color.The Terrain is offered with two engines: A 2.4-liter four-cylinder that makes 182 horsepower and a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 301 horsepower. Both pair to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Terrain is available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is EPA-estimated at 21 mpg city/31 mpg highway (20/28 with all-wheel drive) for the four-cylinder and 17/24 (16/23 with all-wheel drive) for the V6.The Terrain is available in several trim levels: SL, SLE (SLE-1 and SLE-2), SLT and Denali. Significant available features include LED daytime running lamps, sliding rear seat, programmable liftgate, infotainment system, 4G LTE wireless hotspot, navigation, USB, Bluetooth, satellite radio and remote start.Available safety features include dual-front, front-side and side-curtain airbags; traction control, stability control, rollover mitigation, rearview camera, blind-spot alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, forward-collision alert and lane-departure warning.
