2017 Dodge Mopar Challenger

Mopar 17 Challenger: The 2017 Mopar Dodge Challenger made its world debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. This hopped-version of the Dodge Challenger sports car uses parts from Fiat Chrysler's performance-parts division, Mopar.

Only 80 units of each edition - there are two color schemes - will be sold, in order to mark Mopar's 80th birthday. The cars will be custom built with hand-painted exteriors. Owners will get a personalized ownership kit that includes a "birth certificate" for their car and specialized badge. The car will go on sale in the second quarter of this year.

The engine is a 6.4-liter "Hemi" V8 that makes 485 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual transmission. In addition to the custom exterior paint scheme and interior design, the car has 20-inch wheels and Brembo performance brakes.

The Dodge Challenger is a performance-oriented two-door sports car that competes primarily with the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang and Nissan 370Z.

Available features across the Challenger line include performance-brake packages, engine-block heater, performance-exhaust system, shaker hood scoop, rear spoiler, sunroof, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, remote start, heated steering wheel, leather seats, heated/cooled front seats, Bluetooth, infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, multiple USB ports, navigation system, premium audio and adaptive cruise control.

Available safety features include dual-front, front-side, and side-curtain airbags; anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, forward-collision warning, rear-view camera, hill-start assist and rear parking assist.

The Mopar Challenger will have a base price of $55,790, not including dealer and destination fees.
