2017 Chevrolet Malibu: The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu is the brand's entry into the mainstream mid-size family class. It competes in a crowded, contested class with vehicles such as the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima and Toyota Camry.
For 2017, the Malibu adds an available new nine-speed automatic transmission, new connectivity features, new available Sport Package and new exterior paint colors.
The Malibu is available with two four-cylinder engines: turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The smaller engine mates to a six-speed automatic transmission and the larger one to the new nine-speed automatic transmission. The Malibu is front-wheel drive and a gas-electric hybrid model is available.
Trims levels are L, LS, LT, Hybrid and Premium. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, teen driver monitoring, 4G LTE hotspot, wireless phone charging, heated/cooled front seats, leather front seats, rear-seat USB ports, power sunroof and heated rear seats.
Available safety features include 10 airbags, rearview camera, stability control, traction control, blind-spot alert, front and rear park assist, front automatic braking, lane-keep assist, forward-collision alert, rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.
The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu starts at $22,555 including destination and delivery, and it's built in Fairfax, Kansas.
