2017 Buick Encore: The 2017 Buick Encore is the brand's compact crossover SUV. It seats five and competes against vehicles such as the BMW X1 and Volkswagen Tiguan. The Encore is refreshed for 2017, sporting updated front and rear styling as well as an updated interior with a redesigned instrument panel and new available features.
The Encore is offered with two engines. Both are turbocharged 1.4-liter four cylinders. One makes 138 horsepower and the other 153 horsepower. Both mate to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Encore is available with front- or all-wheel drive and it achieves a maximum fuel economy of 34 mpg highway.
Available in five trims -- base, Convenience, Leather, Premium, and Sport Touring -- the Encore offers key features such as 18-inch wheels, push-button start, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, spoiler, remote keyless entry, 4G LTE wireless hotspot, power driver's seat, dual-zone climate control and heated steering wheel.
Available safety features include 10 standard airbags, rearview camera, stability control, traction control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot alert, rear park assist, antilock brakes with brake assist, forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning.
