2017 BMW X1: One of many entries in the premium compact crossover class, the 2017 BMW X1 competes with the Acura RDX, Audi Q5, and Lexus NX. The X1 carries over into 2017 with mostly minor changes.
Available with front- or all-wheel drive, the X1 is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 228 horsepower and mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is rated at 23 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for front-wheel-drive models and 22/31 for all-wheel-drive models.
Available features include power front seats, stability and traction control, tilt/telescope steering wheel, engine stop/start button, power tailgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, infotainment system, Bluetooth, premium audio, satellite radio, USB port, rearview camera, panoramic moonroof and head-up display. An M Sport package adds sport suspension, sports seats and unique exterior and interior trim.
