2017 Acura MDX: The 2017 Acura MDX is restyled for 2017. This three-row crossover SUV now offers larger wheel and tire options, new standard driver-assistance and safety technologies, available second-row captain's chairs, available heated steering wheel, available 360-degree camera and other connectivity and convenience features. It competes with the BMW X5 and the Buick Enclave.

Under the hood is a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 290 horsepower and mates to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The MDX is available in front- or all-wheel drivetrain layouts. EPA-estimated fuel economy is rated at 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 19/26 with all-wheel drive.

The MDX seats six or seven, depending on interior configuration, and it comes standard with the AcuraWatch safety and driver-assistance suite, which includes collision-mitigation braking, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow and road-departure mitigation and rearview camera. Available safety features include blind-spot information, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic monitor, a surround-view camera and automatic high beams. Traction control and stability control are also standard, as are front, front-side, side-curtain and driver's knee airbag.

Available comfort and convenience features include satellite radio, up to six USB ports, capless fuel filler, remote start, keyless start, Pandora internet radio streaming, power moonroof, two 20-inch wheel options, power-folding side mirrors, heated steering wheel, second-row captain's chairs, navigation system, Bluetooth, tri-zone climate control, rear entertainment system, LED fog lamps, power front seats, heated front seats, cooled front seats, heated second-row seats and a wood interior trim.

The MDX starts at $43,950, excluding the $940 destination charge and other fees. It's built in Lincoln, Alabama.
