2016 Volvo XC90

360-Spin-Text

2016 VOLVO XC90: A lot of exciting new models are on display in the Volvo, including the 2016 Volvo XC90. Volvo states that the new XC90 is the start of a new chapter for the iconic Swedish brand. The Volvo XC90 range includes a 320-horsepower T6 engine with supercharger and turbo. All engine versions come with our eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard. Visually striking, the XC90 is a luxury, seven- seat SUV that features new Drive-E powertrain technologies for improved performance and fuel efficiency. Normal driving is conducted in the default hybrid mode. But at the push of a button the driver can switch to quiet and emission-free city driving on pure electric power where the range will be around 40 kilometers, and then, when needed, immediately revert back to the combined capacity of the gasoline engine and electric motor. The 2016 XC90 is the first Volvo to carry the company's new more prominent iron mark, which has the iconic arrow elegantly aligned with the diagonal slash across the grille. Together with the T-shaped "Thor's Hammer" DRL lights, the iron mark introduces an entirely new face for Volvo's forthcoming generation of cars. The XC90's interior is the most luxurious to have been designed for a Volvo. Striking interior elements include the gear lever made of crystal glass from Orrefors, diamond-cut controls, and a tablet-like touch screen control console. The all-new XC90 offers two world first safety technologies: a run-off road protection package and auto brake at intersection capability. The XC90 is the first car in the world with technology that features automatic braking if the driver turns in front of an oncoming car. There is the 360° Surround view that gives the driver a birds-eye view from all cameras are added up digitally to a one 360° image. The Park Assist Pilot now also offers automatic reversing into a parking bay. While at the show, ask about the R-Design version of the 2016 XC90, which is aimed at buyers looking for a head-turner that radiates a truly sporty and dynamic look.
