Volvo XC70
2016 VOLVO XC70: For 2016, a new model in the Volvo luxury sedan wagon lineup is the XC70 T5 AWD, joining the XC70 T5 Drive-E. Each is offered in Base, Premier, and Platinum trim levels. Volvo has made its electronically controlled all-wheel drive with instant traction standard on the new XC70 T5 AWD. This provides four-season benefits, and the setup includes a 250-horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder engine, and standard-equipped six-speed "Geartronic" automatic transmission. The T5 Drive-E features Volvo's highly efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection engine that produces 240-horsepower. It transmits power to the front wheels via an eight-speed "Geartronic" automatic transmission. The Volvo XC70 was redesigned last year and continues with its fresh front and rear styling cues, including a new grille with a bolder, wider proportion, a wider lower intake, and new bumpers projecting an enhanced horizontal stance. The changes included new headlights and LED daytime running lights, updated front and rear matte silver décor trim, rear skid plate décor and new taillight design. The XC70's luxurious interior includes an analog instrument cluster on base trim levels. Premier and Platinum trims feature a high-tech adaptive digital display. This electronic thin film transistor design gives drivers the convenience of selecting from three different themes: Elegance, Eco, and Performance. Volvo has increased the roster of XC70 standard features for 2016. Heated front seats, interior air quality system and new 18-inch "Pan" alloy wheels are standard on all models. Volvo's blind spot information system is now standard on XC70 Platinum trim levels. While at the Chicago Auto Show, ask a Volvo representative to tell you about the Volvo On Call telematics system. The XC70's versatile luggage compartment floor is equipped with aluminum rails and movable storage points to secure the load. With rear seatbacks lowered, there is a large 36.5 cu. ft. of cargo room.
