2016 VOLVO S80: For 2016, the Volvo S80 flagship four-door sedan gains Volvo's exciting new Drive-E technology. New T5 Drive-E models receive Volvo's 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with direct injection that produces 240 horsepower. A six-speed Geartronic transmission that lets the driver select fully automatic operation or shift manually when desired is standard. Volvo's S80 T5 Drive-E is offered in Premier and Platinum trim levels. Platinum includes the new Harmon Kardon Premium Sound System, also available as a stand-alone option on Premier trims, with innovative Dirac Live sound tuning technology, 12 premium speakers, and a remarkable 650 watts. An expanded array of standard features for 2016 includes heated front seats, interior air quality system, power glass sunroof, and 18-in "Magni" alloy wheels. The S80 T5 Drive-E Platinum trim gains Volvo's blindspot information system as standard. New S80 options include a wood steering wheel and 19-inch "Bor" alloy wheels with Sport Chassis. Changes to the S80 include front fascia incorporating a reconfigured grille design with larger Volvo Iron mark and grille pattern. New LED daytime running lights are positioned at the outer edges of the intake. Following up at the rear is a redesigned bumper and new taillight design sporting LED graphics. Consumers have a choice of seven exterior body colors and four colors for the leather interiors. For shopping sprees or cross country travel, the S80 provides 14.9-cu. ft. of luggage space in the tailored trunk.
