2016 PORSCHE MACAN: The 2016 Porsche Macan compact sports utility vehicle will be on display during the 108th Chicago Auto Show, Feb. 13-21, 2016. Buyers can select between the Macan Turbo and Macan S models. The Macan Turbo is the most powerful vehicle in the compact SUV segment. The 3.6 -liter V-6 twin turbo engine achieves an unrivaled 400-horsepower and catapults the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. With the Sport Chrono package, it is possible to achieve such a speed in 4.4 seconds. The Macan Turbo top track speed is 164 mph. With the Macan S model, the standard engine is a 3.0L V-6 twin turbo that delivers 340-hp and features active all-wheel drive. A seven-speed double clutch transmission transfer power, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0-to-60 mph in 5.2 seconds, or 5.0-seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package, and can reach a top speed of 156-mph. The name Macan comes from the Indonesian word for tiger, and the vehicle makes a striking impression from the very beginning: dramatic acceleration and braking figures, impressive engine power, extreme agility, and optimum steering precision. What's more, all of these features are combined with a high level of comfort and everyday drivability. Popular features include standard active all-wheel drive and the Porsche PDK double-clutch transmission. Among the equipment optional in the interior is the Burmester high-end surround sound system, available for the first time in a vehicle of this class. Other new equipment options include the lane keep assist and lane change assist system. Features such as the adaptive cruise control with Porsche active safe deliver a further boost to comfort and security. Both the Macan Turbo and Macan S seat five; can tow up to 4409-lbs., and the cargo room expands from 17.7 cu.-ft. with rear seats up to 53.0 cu.-ft. with seats folded flat.
