2016 NISSAN TITAN: Nissan's large pickup truck, the Titan, and Titan XD, are offered for 2016 in three cab configurations, two frame sizes, three powertrain offerings and five grade levels to be available later in the Titan lineup. All 2016 Titans can be ordered with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, as well as three different engines. The base is the 4.0-liter V-6 that produces 261-horsepower. Optional power plants include the 310-hp 5.0L Cummins V-8 turbo diesel and the 5.6-liter Endurance V-8 rated at 420-hp linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. There are three-bed lengths: 5-foot 7-inch, 6 ft 6 in and 7 ft 3 in., plus, payload ratings from 1,584- up to 2,102-pounds. When it comes to hauling and towing, the Titan can handle a maximum payload of more than 2,000 pounds, and towing ranges from 7,000 to 12,000-lbs.Visually, the Titan's tailgate design features an aerodynamic rear spoiler and integrated rear view camera. Interior features a four-spoke steering wheel that replaces the previous three spoke design. Truck bed options comprise a lockable bedside storage compartment, Utili-track Channel System with four tie-down cleats, bed-mounted 12V power point, and factory-applied spray-on bed liner. Offered in five- and six-seat interiors, the passengers can enjoy the Rockford Fosgate premium audio system with two additional speakers, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, and XM Satellite Radio. A pair of new exterior colors is added to the paint palette: Arctic Blue metallic and Magnetic Black. Created for American buyers, the new Nissan Titan is assembled in Canton, Mississippi, with engines from Tennessee and Indiana.
