2016 Nissan Sentra

2016 NISSAN SENTRA: Driving into its seventh-generation, the Nissan Sentra compact four-door sedan continues to be refined for 2016. Built on a new platform, the front-wheel drive '16 Sentra is 150-pounds lighter and more aerodynamic, which allows Nissan to use a more fuel-efficient 130- horsepower 1.8-liter engine. Along with the continuously variable transmission, a six-speed manual is offered in the base Sentra S model. The model lineup includes the Sentra S, SV, SR, and SL. Design elements include front LED and rear LED lighting, and a lowered beltline with a character line that runs from the front fenders, along the sides, and finishes at the sculpted taillights and trunk lid. The exterior presents a more aggressive stance and enhanced outward visibility for passengers, with a strong family resemblance to the larger Nissan Altima. Standard 16-inch steel wheels with full covers can be replaced by 17-inch split seven-spoke aluminum-alloy rims. A number of interior comfort and convenience enhancements include Bluetooth hands-free phone system and USB connection port. Other exterior features include chrome door handles and accents, available heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, and available sport front and rear fascias and rear spoiler. The five-passenger cabin comes with a standard 60/40 split folding design, offering versatile access to the 15.1-cubic feet of trunk space.
