2016 MITSUBISHI LANCER: The 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer wears updated styling and an expanded list of standard features to the compact four-door sedan lineup. New models added to Lance SE and GT include a reconfigured Lancer ES and new SEL trim levels All Lancers feature four-cylinder engines mated to a five-speed manual gearbox or continuously-variable transmission (CVT) with automated manual steering wheel paddle shifters. The ES is powered by the 2.0-liter that develops 148-horsepower, and the ES 2.4, SE, SEL and performance-oriented Lancer GT feature a potent 168-hp 2.4L under the hood. All CVT models come equipped with a new generation CVT8 that improves both performance and fuel economy. Each model except the ES 2.0L, feature all-wheel control all-wheel drive system. Up front, the Lancer sports a fresh fascial and chrome grille, heated side view mirrors with turn indicators and side air dams. A wide range of newly available features includes unique 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels, rearview camera, power glass sunroof, FUSE hands-free link system for voice-activated audio and cell phone controls, automatic air condition climate control, color LCD multi-information display, USB port, six-speaker audio system and fog lights with LED daytime running lights. Popular upgrades add a navigation system with a seven-inch hi-def touch panel, HD radio, SiriusXM, five-spoke 16-inch alloy wheel design, new seats and seating surface fabric, plus stylish gloss black interior décor panel. Among the multitude of safety features is ABS electronic brake-force distribution, active stability control with traction control logic and tire pressure monitoring system. The exterior paint palette includes Diamond White pearl, Alloy Silver, Tarmac Black, Mercury Gray and Rally Red. A tailored trunk has a cargo volume of 12.3 cu. ft. or 11.8 cu. ft. with an optional subwoofer.
