2016 Mercedes-Benz GL

2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GLA: Brand new last year, the Mercedes-Benz GLA is updated for 2016 with new infotainment features, user technologies, and additional standard amenities. As the first Mercedes-Benz in the compact sport utility vehicle market, the 2016 GLA is offered in GLA250, GLA250 4Matic, and AMG GLA45 trim levels. A high-spirited 208-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is standard on the GLA250 while the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLA45 receives a hand-built AMG 2.0L four-cylinder that creates 375-hp. Both engines are teamed with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, or available new generation 4Matic all-wheel drive. The AMG GLA45 4Matic can sprint from 0-to-60 mph in a mere 4.3-secs. Standard safety features include attention assist drowsiness detection and radar-based collision prevention. An optional driver assistance package also offers blind spot and lane keeping assist. A standalone option is the advanced parking assist that enables autonomous parking in parallel and perpendicular spaces. The GLA is one of several '16 Mercedes models that include a remote start function, and customers can choose from three mbrace2 subscription upgrade packages: "Secure," "Concierge" and "Entertain." The four-door, five-passenger SUV makes available up to 42-cu. ft. of cargo room with rear seats folded flat. A new infotainment system is anchored by a seven-inch display with pre-wired Garmin map pilot. The cabin, which is highlighted by contoured design, silver-shadow trim surfaces and an available two-tone beige/black leather interior that replaces gray leather. A dramatic new color option for the '16 GLA's muscular exterior, Kryptonite Green metallic, replaces Universe Blue for 2016.
