2016 Maserati Ghibli

360-Spin-Text

2016 MASERATI GHIBLI: The 2016 Maserati Ghibli is a unique combination of style, performance and comfort. On display at the Chicago Auto Show, the ’16 Ghibli, is an extraordinary four-door “coupe” sports sedan with a powerful shape, and available in rear-wheel drive Ghibli and all-wheel drive Ghibli S Q4 editions. Both are propelled by 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that has an output of 345-horsepower for the Ghibli and 404-hp from the Ghibli S Q4. The V-6 powerplants are married to eight-speed shiftable automatic transmissions and clocks 0-to-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, which is not bad for the 4,000 pound Italian beauty. And with the capability to hit a governed top speed of 176-mph, everyday driving has never been more rewarding. The timeless Maserati style has been reinterpreted with contemporary details on the 2016 Ghibli, featuring a sleek silhouette; long wheelbase, distinctive front end defined by the prominent Maserati grille with the large chrome Trident logo suspended in the center, three large air vents behind the front wheels, and LED daytime running lights. To the rear, the tapered design of the trunk is a natural continuation of the cabin, while the two LED tail lights provide continuity with the shapely rear fenders. A look suggestive of speed and aggression is underscored by the twin exhaust tailpipes and the 18-inch diamond alloy Alfieri wheels with a new 12-spoke design. The luxurious 2+2 cabin is comfortable and spacious, with wraparound racing-style seats, upholstered in soft leather. Facing the driver is an ergonomic three-spoke leather-clad steering wheel, with controls for interacting with the main multimedia functions. The large speedometer and tachometer have elegant white backlighting and are separated by a seven-inch TFT ('thin-film-transistor) display that shows the car’s dynamic data. A Harman Kardon Premium sound system, utilizes a state-of-the-art 900 watt amplifier with ten high-powered speakers that produces 360 degrees of sublime sound reproduction. For this year’s model, Maserati has commissioned Ermenegildo Zegna, a famous fashion house and producer of fine fabrics to produce the new, exclusive Zegna Edition interiors. These special edition interiors combine the finest leather with 100% natural fiber Zegna mulberry silk inserts, which further enhances the aesthetic value of the Maserati marque.
