2016 Lexus RX

2016 LEXUS RX: Holding court in the Lexus exhibit during the 2016 Chicago Auto Show is the all-new fourth generation RX luxury crossover utility vehicle. Redesigned inside and out, the 2016 Lexus RX is available as front-wheel drive and all-weather drive for both the RX 350 gas model and RX 450h hybrid.  F SPORT is also available for RX 350 AWD and RX 450h AWD. Buyers have their choice between two powertrains. The RX 350 comes equipped with a 295-horsepower 3.5-liter direct-injected V-6 gasoline engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 3.5L direct-injected V-6 engine in a hybrid powertrain configuration generates a combined system output of 308-hp. Powerful exterior design wears a bold spindle grille, new LED daytime running lights, unique fog lamp bezels, updated taillights and rear license plate surround. The high-intensity LEDs on the available head-up display project high-contrast white figures onto the windshield, which are easier to read - and easier on the eyes. For the ultimate in mobile sound, Lexus exclusively offers an optional 15-speaker Mark Levinson Surround Sound system. Consumers will appreciate the new power back door and a choice from nine exterior colors. With the 40/20/40 split rear seats up and rearmost, there is 40.0 cu. ft. of cargo volume, and with rear seats folded down, an impressive 80.3 cu. ft. Chicago Auto Show Fact: Lexus debut its Sport Luxury Vehicle (SLV) concept on February 6, 1997, at the Chicago Auto Show, which lead to the production RX 300 and created the "luxury crossover" segment.
