2016 LEXUS ES: A refreshed exterior appearance and richer interior finishes are two of the updates to the 2016 ES Lexus entry-luxury sedan on display during the 108th annual Chicago Auto Show, Feb. 13-21, 2016. This model year, the Lexus ES is offered with Premium, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury trim packages. Each is equipped with a strong and efficient 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. The ES 350 with hybrid synergy drive combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with an electric motor to generate 200 total system hp. and is teamed with an electronic continuously variable transmission. For 2016, the ES wears a bolder rendition of Lexus signature spindle grille, standard LED headlights, and available panoramic roof and Mark Levinson audio system. From the rear, distinctive L-themed taillights and new chrome-tipped rectangular exhaust ports handsomely accentuate the restyled rear fascia, available 17-inch alloy wheels and four new exterior colors. The wheelbase was lengthened by 1.8-inches, and overall length of the vehicle grew by one inch, resulting in shorter overhangs and a more spacious interior. The new available safety system+ package combines pre-collision system, lane departure alert with steering assist, intelligent high beam, and high-speed dynamic radar cruise control. Lexus Enform Safety Connect is standard on all 2016 Lexus vehicles, with access to Lexus Enform response centers 24/7/365. Display audio features a seven-inch screen and includes HD radio, Bluetooth audio, automatic phone book transfer, a vehicle information display and complimentary traffic and weather data provided via HD radio. The front-wheel drive ES 350 offers five-passenger interior with new interior colors and color coordination, soft-touch materials added to the console, as well as a tailored 14.7 cu. ft. trunk. While at the show, ask a Lexus representative about the ES 350 paint colors that use self-healing clearcoat technology.
