2016 Kia Soul

2016 KIA SOUL: Kia's Soul active lifestyle vehicle is fun, funky and functional. For the model year 2016, the Soul comes in three unique trim levels: Base, Plus, and Exclaim. Motivation for the Base Soul is delivered by a gasoline direct injection 130-horsepower 1.6-liter all-aluminum DOHC four-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, or the optional six-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic and active ECO. The Soul Plus and Exclaim models enjoy the more powerful 2.0-liter NU power plant rated at 164-hp, and available exclusively with the six-speed automatic.  A forward collision warning and lane departure warning systems are included in the new Premium package. Base models equipped with the Convenience Package add a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, SiriusXM satellite radio, and integrated rear camera display. In addition, owners can select a new Designer Collection that adds a two-tone paint scheme. Alloy wheels now come standard across all models. An overall, more premium look and feel to the '16 Soul's interior comes from the soft-touch materials found on the instrument panel, center console, and door panels. Available leather-trimmed seating with improved lateral and thigh support and the use of high-gloss piano black trim pieces elevate the sophisticated look of the five-passenger cabin. Most prominent in the new instrument panel is the available eight-inch touch screen - the largest ever offered on Soul. Also available on the new Soul is UVO eServices, Kia's second-generation infotainment, and telematics system. A wider opening for the liftgate allows Soul to swallow more stuff with cargo volume ranging from 18.8-cu. ft. with seats up to 61.3-cu. ft. when the rear seat is down.
