2016 Hyundai Accent

2016 HYUNDAI ACCENT: Hyundai's fun-to-drive 2016 Accent compact sedan and hatchback models wears a restyled grille, headlights and taillamps with stylish light signature, and new 16-inch alloy wheels and 14-inch steel wheel covers. Now in its fourth generation, the front-wheel drive Accent comes outfitted with Hyundai's 1.6-liter "Gamma" four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Accent uses Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI), which helps the engine to delivers 137 horsepower, as well best-in-class fuel economy of 30 mpg city/40 mpg highway. Compared to competing models, Accent has unsurpassed horsepower and specific output at 86 hp per liter. A trio of new exterior colors is added to the palette; Vitamin C, Pacific Blue, and Misty Beige. Statistically, Accent's "Fluidic Sculpture" exterior dimensions are consistent with those of traditional subcompacts, yet is classified by the EPA as a compact sedan, thanks to its interior volume. Stylish projector headlights with LED accents join a driver's auto-up power window and tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel on five-door SE and four-door Premium Package models. The sporty five-door SE adds an available B&M Racing Sport Shifter for quicker performance. All models provide a five-passenger cabin with new fabric patterns available in beige, gray or black, a reversed LCD display, and split and fold 60/40 rear seats are standard for increased cargo flexibility when transporting longer items. For hauling things around, a total of 13.7 cu. ft. of cargo room is in the sedan's trunk, and 47.5 cu. ft. of payload room in the five-door hatchback. Convenient storage spaces are included throughout the cabin, including bottle holders in the front doors and a storage tray at the base of the center console.
