2016 HONDA FIT: Looking for a subcompact hatchback with big aspirations? Then take a look at the 2016 Honda Fit, available in three well-trimmed models, the LX, EX, and EX-L. For the U.S. market, the Fit is equipped with a direct-injected 1.5-liter DOHC I-Tec four-cylinder engine that develops 130- horsepower, which is 13-hp more than the outgoing power plant. Consumers have a choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or a fuel-efficient continuously variable transmission with available paddle shifters. The '16 Honda Fit wears a sleek, modern and sporty exterior style, sporting an aggressive front fascia that showcases a new solid grille and fashionable headlight designs. A strong character line runs along the side of the Fit, emphasizing the vehicle's aerodynamic profile. Larger 16-inch tires outfitted with a new five-spoke wheel design give the Fit a planted and sporty stance. In the back, rear reflectors and LED taillights run along the hatch with a chrome tailgate garnish and rear diffuser, all contributing to the Fit's more substantial and dynamic appearance. Interior room has increased for the five-passenger accommodations, and an unrivaled 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space when rear row seats are folded flat. Some of the new standard features on all Fit models include auto on-off headlights, LED brake lights, Bluetooth hands-free link and a center storage console with armrest. Items such as smart entry push button start, a one-touch operated moonroof, seven-inch touchscreen display audio with next-generation HondaLink, and heated leather seats are among the upgrades available. The 2016 Fit is manufactured in North America at the new Celaya, Mexico plant.
