2016 HONDA CR-Z: A car of interest at the Honda exhibit during the 2015 Chicago Auto Show is the Honda CR-Z, with its "one-motion" exterior wedge shape. The sport hybrid coupe continues into 2015 with its sleek exterior, rich interiors, and outstanding fuel efficiency. Available in the well-equipped base CR-Z and the top-tier CR-Z EX trim levels, all CR-Z models are equipped with a 1.5-liter four cylinder, a single-overhead-cam engine with additional muscle from the system's DC brushless electric motor and 144-volt Lithium-Ion battery pack. Together, the CR-Z delivers a combined peak output of 130 horsepower, a gain of eight horsepower from the previous configuration. Consumers have a choice of a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters, or the six-speed manual transmission, which received a larger clutch and new lower final drive ratio. The latest Honda CR-Z is also equipped with a new Plus Sport System for additional on-demand electric boost via a steering wheel-mounted "S+" button. Styling upgrades include stylish front fascia and mesh grille, a "floating" lower front spoiler lip, new treatment to the headlight and taillights, and an aerodynamic improved rear diffuser. Revised two-passenger cockpit trim contain ultra-modern instrument panel gauges that are illuminated with a three-dimensional blue color.  A total of 25.1 cu. ft. of cargo room is offered behind the center console, and two-tone combo (black/red) is available for seating. Standard features include Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, Bluetooth audio, rearview camera, an expanded view driver's mirror, AM/FM/CD/USB audio system with six speakers, and much more. Chicago Auto Show Fact: A Honda representative speaking at the 2013 show explained that the name CR-Z was the abbreviation for "Compact Renaissance Zero."
