2016 HONDA ACCORD: Honda performed a major facelift for the 2016 Accord Sedan and Coupe, with both on exhibit during the Chicago Auto Show. The '16 Accord lineup includes the LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L V-6, and Touring trim levels. Both the Sedan and Coupe can be ordered with an 185-horsepower (189-hp in Sport), direct-injected 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine, or a 3.5LV-6 that develops 278-hp. Available transmissions include a sporty and fuel-efficient continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the four-cylinder engines, unique six-speed manuals for the four-cylinder and V-6 engines, and a six-speed automatic for V-6 models. Most visual change is the more strikingly creased front fascia, new grille, large intake-like meshed areas and LED fog lights and restyled headlights and taillights. The Accord also gets a revised exterior color palette with the addition of a new Deep Blue Opal metallic for the Accord Coupe. A spacious cabin has room for five adults, and available in black, gray and ivory, along with carbon weave, a new wood grain and glossy piano black accents for the Sedan and glossy metallic black and glossy piano black finish accent for the Coupe. All 2016 Accord models also feature a standard multi-angle rearview camera and expanded view driver's mirror. Additional new available features for 2016, depending on model and trim, include remote engine start, front and rear parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, rear seat heaters, and a 60/40 split and folding rear seat. The trunk on the Coupe can carry 13.7-cu. ft. of luggage and the Sedan increases the volume to 15.8-cu ft.
