2016 GMC YUKON: As GMC's full-size sports utility vehicle, the 2016 Yukon is available in a series of levels that include the Yukon SLE and SLT, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali. A 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V-8 is standard and an exclusive 6.2L engine powers the Denali models, delivering 420-hp. A pair of Hydra-Matic transmissions is offered, a six-speed for the 5.3L and the eight-speed with the 6.2L. The Yukon/Yukon Denali offers a 7900-8300-pound towing range, and cargo room is rated at 94.7 cu. ft. in the Yukon and 121.1-cu. ft. for the Yukon Denali. Bold styling cues include chrome-accented grilles matched with GMC's signature C-shaped light-emitting diode lighting motif, front, and rear. Yukon and Yukon XL share design, architectural and powertrain elements, but Yukon XL has an approximately 14-inch longer wheelbase and is approximately 20 inches longer overall, providing greater legroom for third-row passengers and almost twice the cargo room behind the third-row seat. The cabin includes soft-touch instrument panel, console, and door panel materials. All models have a standard Bose sound system, and noise cancelation technology to make the interior quieter. An available power rear liftgate has a multiple programmable height settings. Standard and available features, depending on the model, also include forward collision alert, front park assist, lane departure warning, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear automatic braking, and GM's Safety Alert Seat. A host of new features available includes hands-free liftgate for SLT models, two new exterior colors, and a capless fuel fill feature.
