2016 Ford Mustang

2016 FORD MUSTANG: Celebrating the beginning of the next chapter of the original pony car, the six-generation Mustang fastback and convertible evokes key characteristics of the brand, including the long sculpted hood and short rear deck. But the real news is the upgraded V-6 and V-8 that is joined by a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. The EcoBoost contains a high-capacity direct injection system that precisely controls fuel delivery while a new twin-scroll low-inertia turbocharger means incredibly fast time-to-torque. There is at least 300-hp from the standard 3.7L V-6, and the Mustang GT continues with the latest edition of the throaty 5.0L V-8 that yields more than 420-hp. Drivers will appreciate smoother shifts from the updated six-speed manual gearbox while a reworked six-speed automatic transmission features new steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. Mustang contains all-new front and rear suspension systems, and the GT model includes standard launch control that enables drivers to achieve smooth, consistent off the line performance every time. At the front, a new perimeter subframe helps to stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing more predictable wheel control that benefits handling, steering, and ride. Taking inspiration from a fighter cockpit, the '16 Mustang dash includes a balance between analog dials and digital feedback. The shifter is optimally placed, and the steering wheel will feel just right in your hands, for a dynamic driving experience.  The Mustang features a significant amount of innovative technologies from Intelligent Access with push-button start to SYNC and MyKey, plus available Track Apps, MyColor gauges and new Shaker Pro audio system, drivers will be able to customize their time behind the wheel.
