2016 FORD ESCAPE: The Ford Escape small Sport Utility for 2016 is offering customers even more advanced technology, style, fuel economy and spirited driving experience. The '16 Ford Escape SUV is available in Escape S, SE, and Titanium series. There is a choice from a trio of four-cylinder engines and front-wheel or Ford Intelligent four-wheel drive systems. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder provides 168-horsepower and up to 1,500 lbs. towing capacity. There are two EcoBoost four-cylinder engines available: the 178 hp 1.6L and a 2.0L that delivers 240 hp, with 2,000 and 3,500 lb tow ratings. Plus, the new Escape's active grille shutter system, which is on models with the 1.6L EcoBoost and 2.5L four-cylinder engines, reduces wind resistance. All engine variations are fitted with the specially calibrated six-speed SelectShift automatic transmissions. Each Escape versatile vehicles includes an available hands-free power liftgate that allows quick and easy access to cargo with the kick of a foot. Within the stylish five-passenger cabin, the stowing is even easier thanks to a low liftover height of 27 inches, and cargo volume of 34.3 cu. ft. behind the second row and 68.1 cu. ft. of space behind the first row. Upgraded MyFord Touch system makes connecting with digital devices on the go even easier, and with the press of a button, the active park assist detects an available parallel parking space and automatically steers the vehicle into space, while the drivers control only the gas and brake pedals. For the first time, the SE series Escape is available with a leather comfort package and chrome appearance package. New colors for 2016 include Shadow Black and Electric Spice.
