2016 CHEVROLET IMPALA: Chevrolet flagship Impala underwent a recent redesign, so the full-size sedan receives just a couple of minor tweaks for the model year 2016. A pair of new features enhances everyday driving: fuel-saving stop/start technology on the 2.5-liter engine and new OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. The Ecotec 2.5L four-cylinder offers 196-hp, the 3.6L V-6 develops 260 and 305-hp. All of the '16 Impala engines are matched with six-speed automatic transmissions, and maximum trailer towing is 1000 lbs. The latest Impala builds on a strong 10 generation heritage of the Impala nameplate by offering expressive style, an award-winning global platform, refinements and the latest technology. The all-new exterior design represents the next evolution of Chevrolet's design vocabulary and is offered on the Impala LS, LT, and LTZ models. The 2016 Impala is styled with sleek four-door proportions, sculpted body sides, and outfitted with standard 18-inch wheels and projector-beam headlamps, with HID headlamps and LED daytime running lamps. Options include 19- and 20-inch aluminum rims. Impala's three powertrains all feature fuel-saving direct injection and lightweight components. The Chevrolet-signature dual-cockpit cabin with wraparound flow instrument panel and ambient lighting, comfortable seats five-passengers, and the sizeable truck can haul 18.8 cu. ft. of groceries or luggage. The instrument panel integrates a new instrument cluster with a standard 4.2-inch color display with reconfigurable features for the driver information center. Available leather replaces optional suede cloth interiors, and five new exterior colors include shades such as Siren Red Tintcoat and Citron Green metallic.
