2016 BUICK REGAL/REGAL GS: Buick's Regal and Regal GS offer enhancements for 2016, making the midsize sedan sportier and smarter. Beginning this model year, Buick IntelliLink system includes new display screens, more intuitive controls, and Apple CarPlay capability. Regal is available in five trim levels: 1SV, Regal (1SL), Premium I (1SN), Premium II (1SP) and GS (1SX). Regal 1SV features a 2.4-liter four cylinder rated at 182 horsepower while 1SL models and above offer a standard 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine pumps out 259-hp. Fleet customers can select the 2.4L with eAssist light electrification technology. Six-speed automatic transmissions are matched with both engines. For this year's models, OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot includes 2GB/three-month data trial. The '16 Regal can be ordered in one of nine exterior paints while the Regal GS comes in six different shades. The paint pallet ranges from Crimson Red tint coat to Black Onyx. Front styling adds wing-shape LED daytime running lamps and standard LED taillamps, redesigned to give Regal a more contemporary and premium presence. A new chrome accent bridges the taillamps to further enhance Regal's wide stance. Electric power steering is now featured on all models. Buick IntelliLink is standard on the audio systems and uses Bluetooth wireless connectivity or USB to connect the driver's smartphone to an eight-inch, high-resolution, full-color touch screen display radio. The five-passenger cabin is offered in three interior color/trim combinations, all featuring standard Soleil Keisel leather seating, and the trunk has 11.1 cubic feet (2.4L eAssist) or 14.2 cu. ft. (2.0L) of cargo volume.
