2016 Buick Encore

2016 BUICK ENCORE: For 2016, the Buick Encore luxury small crossover adds three new exterior colors, and revised 18-inch, seven spoke "Ultra-Bright" wheel finish to complement the luxury amenities, refinement, and signature Buick style.  Standard power plant is the Ecotec 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 138 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission backs the 1.4L engine. The new Sport Touring model is a more spirited Encore with an exclusive, all-new 153-hp 1.4L turbocharged engine derived from GM's new family of small gas engines. It features direct injection, stop/start technology, which contributes to efficiency in stop-and-go driving. The '16 Encore can be ordered in front-wheel and available all-wheel-drive configurations in four trim levels: Encore (1SB), Encore Convenience (1SD), Encore Sport Touring (1SH), Encore Leather (1SL) and Encore Premium (1SN).  Notable styling details include blue-accented projector-beam headlights and stylish taillights that enhance the premium appearance. With room for five passengers and up to 48.4 cubic feet of storage space with the rear seat folded, the Encore offers substantial cargo capacity along with the confident, higher driving position and all-wheel-drive capability of a crossover. An all-Ebony or contemporary mix of dark and light tones distinguishes the cabin, which is accented with ice-blue ambient lighting, select use of bright chrome and woodgrain trim. All eight exterior colors include a lower accent color. An example is White Pearl tricot with Satin Nickel metallic accent. Encore is built on a global small-crossover platform and engineered with a "one-tire" philosophy. Everything is optimized around a single 18-inch tire specification, designed for more precise suspension tuning, driving refinement, quietness and a feeling of control. Stop/start technology further contributes to reduced fuel consumption in stop-and-go driving. Also standard is OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.
