2016 Audi A8/S8

2016 AUDI A8/S8: On display at the 108th edition of the Chicago Auto Show are the newly designed 2016 Audi A8 and S8 that are sportier, with increased performance and upgraded luxury. As the flagship Sedans for Audi, the 2016 A8 lineup include the A8 3.0T, 4.0T, the S8 4.0T and the W12. Under the new sculpted hood waits a 4.0T V-8 that has increased horsepower from 420 to 435-hp. For even greater excitement, the Audi S8 packs a 4.0-liter turbocharged TFSI V-8 engine that produces 520-hp.  As the pinnacle of what's possible with engine design, the 6.3-liter W12 engine with FSI direct injection produces 500-hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. The drivetrains include quattro all-wheel drive with sport differential and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The A8 is available in normal and long wheelbase models while the S8 is offered in standard wheelbase only. All models communicate a wider stance and received a more dynamic look with new LED headlamp treatment, re-designed Singleframe grille, bumper, splitter, fascia, tail lamps and trapezoidal tailpipe design (oval quad tailpipes on S8).  There is also a fresh selection of 20-inch wheels and five innovative exterior colors. An available two-panel panoramic sunroof offers both the front and rear passengers a great overhead view, and the optional night vision assistant, now with animal detection in addition to pedestrian detection, is available on all A8 models. The available Executive Rear Seat package adds a passenger-side rear relaxation seat with power footrest while a fixed, leather-covered rear center console and 115-volt power inverter create a mobile business or pleasure center. This package also features a small refrigerator between the rear seats as well as rear-seat ventilation. For elegant travel, the tailored trunk offers 13.0 cu ft of cargo room.
