2015 TOYOTA YARIS: An updated version of Toyota's spunky little hatchback appears for the first time at the 107th annual Chicago Auto Show, Feb. 14-22, 2015. Like other Toyotas, the Yaris features a more emotional new look for 2015. The new design is most obvious on the sport-oriented SE model, which features a black front grille, black exterior trim, a rear spoiler, and black-accented 16-inch alloy wheels. The interior changes include a soft-touch dash face, a new instrument panel with a multi-information display between the gauges, new seats, and less noise thanks to an acoustic glass windshield and more sound deadening material. The model lineup includes L, LE and SE trim levels. All feature a gas-sipping 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that sends 106 horsepower to the front wheels to get the Yaris moving. Standard equipment in the base L model includes air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, nine airbags (including a driver's knee airbag), and Toyota's Entune audio system with HD Radio, iTunes tagging, voice recognition, Bluetooth cell phone connectivity, and an iPhone interface. The LE model adds cruise control, remote keyless entry, and alloy wheels. In addition to the new design features, the SE model gets leather trim on the shift lever and steering wheel, plus sport seats and fog lights.
