2016 TOYOTA PRIUS V: If the Toyota Prius doesn’t offer enough space for you, check out the 2016 Toyota Prius V. This wagon version of the Prius shares the same engine and transmission as the Prius. Last yearm Toyota updated the exterior styling with a new front fascia and lower front grille. The Prius V is powered by 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a hybrid powertrain that makes 134 total system horsepower. As a full hybrid, the Prius V can run solely on electric power, solely on gas-engine power, or on a combination of both. The Prius V uses a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). Like the Prius, the Prius V is available in several trims, labeled Two, Three, Four, and Five. Standard features include a rearview camera and 60/40 split-folding bench seat, while the Three adds features including satellite radio, a new-for-2015 4.2-inch touchscreen, Toyota’s EnTune app suite, a smart key system, and a new look for the rear bumper. The Four adds included features like heated front seats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. The Five’s available features include LED headlights, fog lamps, and 17-inch wheels. EPA-estimated fuel-economy for the Prius V is 44 mpg city/40 mpg highway/42 mpg combined.
