2015 TOYOTA PRIUS V: If the Toyota Prius doesn’t offer enough space for you, check out the 2015 Toyota Prius V at the 107th annual Chicago Auto Show, which takes place Feb. 14-22, 2015. This wagon version of the Prius shares the same engine and transmission as the Prius. For 2015, the Prius V has updated exterior styling with a new front fascia and lower front grille. Like the Prius, the Prius V is powered by 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a hybrid powertrain that makes 134 total system horsepower. As a full hybrid, the Prius V can run solely on electric power, solely on gas-engine power, or on a combination of both. The Prius V uses a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). Like the Prius, the Prius V is available in several trims, labeled Two, Three, Four, and Five. Standard features include a rearview camera and 60/40 split-folding bench seat, while the Three adds features including satellite radio, a new-for-2015 4.2-inch touchscreen, Toyota’s EnTune app suite, a smart key system, and a new look for the rear bumper. The Four adds included features like heated front seats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. The Five’s available features include LED headlights, fog lamps, and 17-inch wheels. EPA-estimated fuel-economy for the Prius V is 44 mpg city/40 mpg highway/42 mpg combined. Other available options include navigation, EnTune multimedia, radar cruise control, a pre-collision system, lane-departure alert, Safety Connect, and a power moonroof.
