Scion iQ

2015 SCION iQ: Metropolitan trendsetters attending the 2015 Chicago Auto Show need to visit the Scion exhibit and investigate the diminutive Scion iQ for urban living. The 2015 Scion iQ is a three-door hatchback that can deftly maneuver through city traffic, and with an overall length of only 120.1-inches, plus short front and rear overhangs, allows the iQ to fit into virtually any city parking scenario. The iQ’s geometric, modern shape is defined by its trapezoidal lines, broad stance and wide rear bumper. Upfront, the fascia features a well-built front grille and projector beam headlamps. Side mirrors with integrated turn signals accent give it a premium look. A functional “3+1” seating makes it the world’s smallest four-passenger vehicle. Standard features include keyless entry along with an electronic rear hatch locking system, traction control, antiskid system, ABS, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, digital-music player plug-ins, and a 50/50 split-folding rear seat back. With rear seats down, the iQ offers 16.7 cu. ft. of cargo room. From the available option listings are a navigation system with DVD and iPod video.  Powering the 2,127-pound Scion iQ is a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces over 90-horsepower to the front wheels. The iQ’s engine is combined with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that helps deliver smooth acceleration and achieve a combined fuel economy in the high 30s. Drivers have the option of 5-spoke or 7-spoke wheel covers. For 2015, color options include Blizzard Pearl, Classic Silver Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Black Sand Pearl, Hot Lava, Pacific Blue Metallic, Black Currant Metallic and a two-tone option comprised of Black Currant Metallic and Classic Silver Metallic, available only on the iQ Monogram Series.
