2015 NISSAN ALTIMA: Returning for the third model year of the fifth-generation design, the Nissan Altima receives several enhancements for 2015. Some Altima models receive NissanConnect with navigation and mobile apps, blind spot warning, moving object and lane departure warning, advanced Xtronic transmission and standard fog lights. For 2015, the Altima is offered in seven models: Altima 2.5, 2.5 S, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 S, 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL. For 2015, the Altima Sedan enhancements include replacing the previous Navigation Package with the new Technology Package that contains NissanConnect with navigation, NissanConnect Apps smartphone integration and SiriusXM Travel Link, plus Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection and Lane Departure Warning systems. A new Display Audio Package available includes 5.0-inch color display, rearview monitor, USB port and SiriusXM satellite radio/. New accessory 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, chrome exhaust finishers, and eight available exterior colors, including Gun Metallic. The fresh, aerodynamic body compliments the upscale five-passenger interior with premium materials, advanced technology features and NASA-inspired "zero gravity" front seats. Cargo space has been improved, with 15.4 cu. ft. of luggage/grocery room in the spacious trunk. Consumers have their choice of a redesigned 182-horsepower 2.5-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine or a proven 270-hp 3.5-liter V-6. Next-generation Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission), is standard with both engines. Along with greatly enhanced driver feel, the result of the new CVT redesign is an estimated 15+ percent improvement in fuel economy with the four-cylinder engine and a 10 percent improvement with the V-6 engine.
