2015 MINI COOPER COUPE: One change has been made to the 2015 Mini Cooper Coupe two-door hatchback, Ice Blue is no longer offered as a color option. Otherwise, the Mini Cooper Coupe continues to present the brand's go-kart feeling with ultra-stiff bodywork, wheels pushed all the way to the corners to maximize cockpit space –torsional reinforcements and incredibly precise steering. Eye-catching flat silhouette and innovative steel "helmet roof" lend the Mini Coupe a sporty and individual allure. In addition to the integral roof spoiler, an active rear spoiler optimizes airflow at higher speeds. For 2015, the Mini Coupe can be ordered with the most powerful engines in the brand's arsenal. The engine outputs range from the 121-horsepower of the MINI Cooper Coupe, to MINI Cooper S Coupe (181-hp), all the way up to the Mini John Cooper Works Coupe, a thoroughbred athlete producing 208-hp. That model, weighing in at 2,679 pounds offers 0-to-60 mph in 6.1 seconds (fastest-accelerating Mini ever) and posts a top speed of 149 mph. The standard-fitted six-speed manual gearbox sets a new benchmark in the segment with its short shift travel and impressively precise action. There is also a six-speed automatic gearbox with Steptronic function. Tailored two-seat cockpit includes a pass-through cargo area to the truck, where there is a total of 9.8 cubic feet of room for all types of weekend gear. Popular colors are Pure Silver and Chili Red, along with optional, model-specific Sport stripes.
