2015 MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS: All new for last year, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class returns to the 107th Chicago Auto Show, Feb. 14-22, 2015. Two notable changes highlight the 2015 S-Class. Replacing the physical dash keypad, is a new touchpad with swiping/menu/presets logic, and the addition of the S-Class Coupe to the model lineup. The ‘15 Mercedes-Benz is recognized as one of the finest automobiles available in the world, and includes the S350 BlueTEC with a fuel-sipping 3.0 liter V-6 turbodiesel that delivers 240 horsepower, and comes with standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive. In addition, the S550 features a 4.6L twin turbo direct-injection V-8 that increases the rating to 429hp. The ''14 line-up also includes an innovative S400 Hybrid generating 295-hp. In contrast, the high-performance V-8 in the S63 AMG releases 536-hp and 590 lb.-ft. of torque. And then there are a pair of magnificent V-12 powered cars - the S600 (510 hp, 612 lb.-ft.) and the S65 AMG (621 hp, 738 lb.-ft.). Most '14 S-Class models are equipped with the more fuel efficient seven-speed automatic transmission, and all levels provide four-door convenience, five-passenger cabin space and a tailored 16.4 cu. ft. trunk compartment. Models equipped with the optional radar-based Distronic Plus system reap the benefit of another revolutionary Mercedes-Benz safety feature - Pre-Safe Brake. Also available is the SplitView dual-content viewing screen, an active lane keeping assist and active blind spot assist with automatic brake intervention and nightview assist plus with pedestrian detection.
