2015 LEXUS IS CONVERTIBLE: A popular “fun-in-the-sun” vehicle from Lexus is the 2015 IS 250 C, which comes wrapped in a head-turning design that delivers the best of coupe and convertible worlds, On display at the 107th Chicago Auto Show (Feb. 14-22, 2015), are the latest Lexus IS 250 C, IS 250 C F Sport, IS 350C and IS 350 C F Sport, each providing cool breeze or refuge in less than 21 seconds. The coupe’s retractable three-panel aluminum hardtop disappears beneath a locking panel with no need for the driver to secure a tonneau cover or hold-down snaps. For easy access and rear-seat comfort, the front doors are 11.8 inches longer than the IS sedans, and a truck capacity of 10.8 cubic feet. Top engine is in the IS 350C, which is the 3.5 liter V-6 with outstanding 306 horsepower. Standard in the IS 250C is the 2.5L V-6 that produces 204-hp. An advanced six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters is standard on both models. A fun-in-the-sun driving experience is enhanced with numerous standard and optional features including 18-inch wheels with split-five spoke wheels, new Silver Lining Metallic exterior paint, and red leather-trim interior, plus, heated and ventilated front seats. The F SPORT package includes 18-inch wheels with dark superchrome finish, badging on steering wheel and exterior, upper and lower grille insert, leather-trimmed interior, steering wheel/shift knob, scuff plate; front lip spoiler; heated and ventilated front seats; sport-tuned suspension. New available goodies include HD radio with iTunes tagging, Bluetooth hands free phone, a 12-speaker Mark Levinson Premium surround sound audio system, bi-xenon HID headlights with LED daytime running lights.
