2015 JEEP CHEROKEE: Jeep continues to raise the bar on mid-size SUV models, with more available features to fulfill each customer’s desires. For 2015, the Jeep Cherokee includes standard engine stop-start technology, cutting-edge design, and a segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission Superior on-road ride and handling, legendary Jeep 4x4 capability, world-class craftsmanship, class-exclusive technology and more. This latest product from the world-famous Jeep brand brings the “Cherokee” nameplate back to North America after a 12-year absence. It is the first Jeep built upon the compact platform co-developed with Fiat. It is also the first Chrysler Group vehicle equipped with ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist, which uses ultrasonic sensors to guide the driver into parking spaces. Next, is the new 3.2-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that generates 271-hp. With go anywhere capability, the Cherokee provides a choice of three innovative 4x4 systems (Jeep Active Drive I, II and Drive Lock), and is the first mid-size SUV to feature rear-axle disconnect, resulting in reduced energy loss when 4x4 capability isn’t needed – improving fuel efficiency. Jeep offers best-in-class V-6 towing capability of 4,500 pounds. Jeep’s innovative Selec-Terrain system has up to five selectable modes that provide the best four-wheel-drive performance for any road or weather condition. The inviting and comfortable five-passenger interior with hand-sculpted forms offer world-class levels of fit and finish with high-quality materials. Maximum cargo volume behind the front-row seats with rear seats folded flat is 54.9 cu. ft.
