2015 Ford Flex

2014 FORD FLEX: For MY2015, the subtle refinements to Ford’s distinctive Flex SUV include three new colors: Magnetic metallic, Guard metallic and Bronze Fire metallic tinted clearcoat. Buyers have a choice of a two-tone roof in either Tuxedo Black metallic and white, or Deep Impact Blue metallic and white. Other changes for the new model year are the addition of heated mirrors as a standard feature for the SE series and an available heated steering wheel for the Limited series. The ‘15 Flex SUV offer three-row, six/seven-seating in three distinct models for 2015: SE, SEL and Limited. Each comes powered by a 3.5 liter V-6, offered in two variations. Standard V-6 delivers 287 horsepower. The optional EcoBoost V-6 produces a healthy 365-hp. A six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with fully automatic and manual control of gear selection is stock equipment with all V-6s. And buyers have their choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Additional new features include available second-row inflatable belts, PowerFold third-row seat flips and folds, SYNC with MyFord Touch driver connect technology, center stack full-color 8-inch touch screen and two 4.2-inch LCD screens in the instrument cluster. The ’15 Flex continues to offer a refrigerated console mounted between the second-row captain's chairs, which can chill up to seven 12-ounce cans, four half-liter bottles or two 20-ounce bottles down to 41 degrees Fahrenheit.  Active park assist uses sensors that can help take the stress out of parallel parking, and blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert helps drivers avoid potential accidents. Around backside, the latest Flex models have standard dual exhaust, and an available new appliqué with integrated rear view camera. Depending on model, 17-, 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheels are offered. When properly equipped, the Flex has a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 lbs., and with second and third row seats down, there is 83.2 cu. ft. of hauling space.
