2015 CHEVROLET MALIBU: For 2015, the Chevrolet Malibu carries over the revised front-end appearance, chassis and suspension refinements, and improved rear knee room from last year. There are new exterior colors for 2015, which include Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Butte Red, Sable Metallic and Autumn Bronze Metallic. A welcomed new feature is OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, which includes a 3GB/three-month data trial. Along with updated styling and revised interior, the Malibu is the first midsize sedan sold in the U.S. to offer fuel-savings stop/start technology standard on its base model. With a wide, athletic stance the Malibu is offered in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, with 10 exterior and four interior color combination choices. Dual-cockpit, five-passenger interior provides nearly four cubic feet of additional interior volume, along with more shoulder and hip room, more quietness, more premium materials and content and greater craftsmanship. Customer-focused technologies add greater connectivity and enhance crash-avoidance capabilities. These include side blind zone and rear cross traffic alerts, MyLink in-car infotainment system, Pandora Internet radio, Stitcher SmartRadio and Siri Eyes Free Mode. The Text-to-Voice feature converts incoming messages to speech. Malibu’s tailored trunk can carry 16.3 cu. ft. of groceries or multi-piece luggage set. A new 196 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine comes standard, and the available 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine delivers 259-hp for stronger acceleration. Both come with slightly different versions of the next-generation Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic transmission. Also standard is the HyFuel-saving electric power rack-and-pinion variable-effort power steering system. The ’15 Malibu contain systems that enable greater vehicle control, including standard StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, all-speed traction control and four-wheel disc brakes with four-channel ABS.
