2015 BMW 5 SERIES: Now in its sixth generation, the BMW 5 Series for 2015 wears a modern design with classic BMW proportions that creates a spacious sports sedan. Most notable visual change is the slightly steeper angle for the trademark kidney grille and revised lower air intakes. Front lighting is brighter with Xenon headlamps and optional Adaptive LED lights that steer into the curves. At the rear, the LED taillights give the 5 Series a distinctive nighttime signature. The 5 Series lineup contains the 528i, 535i, 535i xDrive, and the M5. Dazzling performance comes from a stable of engine selections. Choose from 240-, 300- or 445-horsepower TwinPower Turbo gasoline engines; the 335-hp ActiveHybrid 5; and, for the first time in the 5 Series, a new 255-hp six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel powerplant in the 535d. The transmission choices include a seven-speed sequential, six-speed manual gearbox, and eight-speed automatic. To further tailor your 5 Series, BMW offers new Luxury and Modern Lines and M Sport, each with exclusive trims and features. To meet the challenge of our world becoming increasingly networked, BMW ConnectedDrive offers advanced communications and entertainment features that connect driver, vehicle and environment, anytime and wherever you are. All 5 Series sedans come with a next-generation navigation system, along with a high-definition 10.2-inch full-color monitor and iDrive system with touchpad controller. The BMW Head-up Display uses a multi-color TFT, and the driver assistance system searches for suitable parking spots and then steers your vehicle into them. For small trips or cross-country drives, the tailored trunk offers a decent 14.0 cu. ft. of cargo room.
