2015 ACURA RDX: The hot-selling Acura RDX premium compact crossover SUV continues into 2015 with four trim levels: RDX, RDX with Technology Package, RDX with AWD, and RDX with AWD and Technology Package. A rich new Kona Coffee exterior paint replaces the previous Amber Brownstone. Standard powertrain consists of a 273 horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine, a six-speed automatic transmission with a lock-up torque converter. Consumers have a choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive variants. The RDX exterior incorporates an aerodynamically efficient body with Amplitude Reactive Dampers and a motion adaptive electronic power steering system. Inside the five-passenger cabin, occupants will appreciate an interior design with rich interior materials, utility, generous use of noise insulation and up to 31.5 cu. ft. of cargo room. Standard features on the RDX include leather seating surfaces, heated power front seats, a power moonroof and a 360-watt audio system. Technologies such as Pandora internet radio interface, an SMS text messaging function, a keyless access with pushbutton start, an active noise control system and a multi-angle rearview camera setup are also standard on all RDX models. The Technology Package brings the RDX owner even more high-tech appointments, including items such as the AcuraLink satellite communication, navigation system with voice recognition, a hard disk drive (HDD) with 60 gigabytes of storage capacity, real-time traffic with Traffic Rerouting, real-time weather, a GPS-linked solar-sensing, dual-zone automatic climate control system, ELS surround premium sound system, a power-actuated rear tailgate, projector beam headlights with Bi-Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs and front fog lights. The 2015 RDX is produced (using U.S. and globally sourced parts) exclusively by the company's East Liberty, Ohio plant.
