2014 Toyota Shedd Aquarium Prius S

2014 TOYOTA SHEDD AQUARIUM PRIUS S: A popular Chicago attraction is the Shedd Aquarium, located on the shores of Lake Michigan. Since 2006, Toyota has been a proud supporter of Shedd’s conservation and education programs. Each year a hybrid vehicle, like the Prius v, is donated to the education department for their use in transporting specimens and educational materials for schools and environmentally focused organizations in the Chicagoland area. Configured as a five-door hatchback, the Prius v ("v" for versatility), is front-wheel drive, powered by an efficient Atkinson cycle 98 horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and two high-output motors. The larger motor powers the transaxle and a smaller motor works as the electric power source. Maximum motor drive voltage is 650 volts DC, for a total of 134hp that is matched with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Combined with its five-passenger cabin, the Prius v provides a low, wide-opening rear hatch that provides up to 34.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, and 67.3 cu. ft. behind the front seats. The donated and fully-wrapped Prius v lives up to Toyota’s slogan, “Let’s Go Places.”
