2014 MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS: Big news for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the C63 AMG gains an exciting Edition 507 hi-performance package, and the C-Class four-passenger cabin adds split-folding rear seat standard on all models. For superb ride comfort and excellent axle kinematics, the '14 C-Class now employs a four-link front axle. There is a total of ten model variations of the C-Class Coupe and Sedan beginning with the C250, powered by a direct-injection, turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower to the rear wheels. Next, the C300 4Matic is fitted with a 248hp 3.0L V-6 and the C350 a 302hp direct-injection 3.5L V-6. The more aggressive C63 AMG features the normally aspirated 6.2L V-8 that develops 451hp, while the new Edition 507 package jumps up to 507hp. These magnificent machines can sprint from 0-to-60 mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a electronally limited top speed of 174 mph. A fuel-efficient seven-speed automatic transmission comes mated to each of the engines, with a heavy-duty version for the AMG. All-wheel drive is offered in C300 4Matic sedan and C350 4Matic coupe. A head-up display is also new in the C-Class, which projects important information as a virtual image directly into the driver's field of vision. Distinguishing the Edition 507 are openings in the distinctive aluminum hood that helps cool the engine, a spoiler lip on the trunk lid, unique AMG sports stripes in matte graphite grey and 19-inch light-alloy forged wheels. An exclusive option for the Edition 507 is an exclusive designo magno platinum matte finish paint. All C-Class models are equipped with a 5.8-inch color display that's located at the top of the console. The head unit includes a Bluetooth interface for wireless audio streaming and hands-free phone operation.
