2014 MAZDA3: It was ten years ago the first Mazda3 debuted, and in celebration, the all-new, third-generation 2014 Mazda3 will be on display at the 106th Edition of the Chicago Auto Show ( Feb. 8-17, ’14). Foremost, the ’14 Mazda3 has been engineered with the full complement of SKYACTIV technologies – which includes Mazda’s fuel-efficient, performance-driven components wrapped-up in four-door and five-door forms. Mazda’s KODO design language is evident via the dynamic signature wing of the five-point grille to the expansive hood cresting over sleekly slanted headlamps, and through the wide-stance muscular fenders flexing into taut character lines from panel to panel. Mazda3 is offered in four trim levels – SV (sedan only), Sport, Touring and Grand Touring, each lower and leaner with a longer wheelbase for improved five-passenger interior room and smoother ride. A choice of two SKYACTIC four-cylinder gasoline engines include the 155 horsepower 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter that generates 184hp. For 2014, the Mazda3 is outfitted with a choice of the SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual or SKYACTIV-Drive. Upgrades boasts 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights with manual leveling, a piano black-finish front grille, halogen fog lights, LED combination taillights, LED daytime running lights, the all-new Active Driving Display, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with manual lumbar adjustment, leatherette seats and door panel inserts, and variable heated front seats. The 2014 Mazda3 is available in eight striking colors, including the premium metallic finish Soul Red. Two new-to-Mazda hues – Titanium Flash Mica and Deep Crystal Blue – are introduced for the first time. A choice of Black or Sand cloth seats as well as Black or Almond leather seats is available.
