2014 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR: Once again, the Lincoln Navigator sets the standard for the luxury SUV market by combining an array of stylish creature comforts with under-the-hood performance.  From the Lincoln Star-inspired chrome grille to the Olive Ash and Walnut Swirl wood accents throughout the interior, the '14 Navigator was engineered to be ruggedly stylish and elegant. The standard Navigator provides 103.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first row, while the expanded Navigator L stretches to offer an additional 24.5 cubic feet of space. Powering both models is the 5.4-liter SOHC V8 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque on regular gasoline, and is linked to a smooth and precise six-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain setup can be ordered with either rear-wheel or four-wheel-drive, for a best-in-class 9,000 pound towing capacity. New for 2014, Navigator will be available in Riviera Sands Metallic in addition to eight previous offerings, such as Midnight Sapphire Metallic and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Navigator’s premium-size interior offers seven- and eight-passenger seating arrangements, and there is an under-floor cargo compartment. In addition, the Navigator offers Forward Sensing System and Reverse Sensing System, each of which is designed to help warn drivers of certain objects within a defined range of the vehicle. Navigator boasts safety features such as AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control and Curve Control to help drivers avoid catastrophic rollover situations. Rain-sensing wipers automatically detect moisture on the windshield and activate the wipers to help increase driver visibility. A popular item is Lincoln SYNC AppLink, a software application that gives users hands-free voice control of select smartphone apps.
