2014 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT: Land Rover proclaims the all-new Range Rover Sport as the most dynamic, agile and responsive model ever. From its flowing lines and muscular stance to its floating roof and fast raked windscreen angle, everything about the all-new 2014 Range Rover Sport has been designed to another level. Classified as a midsize luxury SUV, the all-new Range Rover Sport is available in four models: SE, HSE, Supercharged and Autobiography. The improved range of supercharged engines includes the 3.0-liter V-6 and 5.0L V-8. Developing 340 horsepower, the V-6 features Stop/Start technology that automatically shuts down the engine at rest and starts again as soon as your foot is off the brake. The V-8 generates an amazing 510hp and goes from 0-60mph in just 5.0 seconds. Both engines are mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions. Standard on all models is four-wheel drive , terrain response system, hill descent control and hill start assist. When properly equipped the V-6 and V-8 models can tow up to 7,700 pounds. Range Rover’s cabin offers five-passenger seating, or a 5+2 arrangement with an optional third-row seat that stows under the floor of the luggage compartment. With rear seat back folded, there is 62.2 cubic feet of cargo volume, and the full-size sliding panoramic tinted glass roof floods the interior with natural light. Desirable options include surround-view camera system, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and rear cross-traffic detection.
