2014 KIA SPORTAGE: Kia’s longest running nameplate, Sportage, enters the 2014 model year with an array of design enhancements, a host of comfort and convenience features and a pair of powertrains. Available in three trims – LX, EX and SX – the ‘14 Sportage wears a high beltline, sweeping angles and pronounced wheel flares. The full-sectioned body, defined by a spearing shoulder line throughout the length of the car, helps to visually connect the available HID headlamps and LED tail lights. Sportage continues the evolution of Kia’s design language with a new grille design and as well as HID headlighes, LED rear taillights and new fog lamps on the EX trim. All trim levels benefit from the enhances ride quality and dynamic handling through standard high performance dampers. A 182 horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is standard on the LX and EX, while the 260hp 2.0L four comes with the SX package. All engines are mated with six-speed electroically controlled Sportmatic automatic transmissions. The maximum set-up permits the Sportage to tow up to 2,000 lbs. For enhanced passenger comfort, all trims feature standard rear ventilation and reclining outboard seats. An available Premium package adds ventilated front seats, navigation with SiriusXM Traffic, leather-trimmed seats, panoramic sunroof, smart key with push button start, and power-folding outside mirrors. When the 60/40 split-folding rear seat is down, Sportage can haul up to 54.6 cu. ft. of cargo.
