2014 KIA SORENTO: Kia will be exhibiting the significantly redesigned Sorento CUV at the 106th Edition of the Chicago Auto Show, Feb.8-17, 2014. The crossover receives an all-new platform, retooled grille, front and rear LED accents, and a new 3.3-liter GDI V-6 engine. Also, the 2014 Sorento is the first Kia vehicle to offer the next-generation UVO eServices voice-activated telematics system. This model year, Sorento lineup includes the entry-level LX, SX, EX and top-tier Limited trim levels. The 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder engine returns, now as standard equipment in the LX and EX that delivers a healthy 191 horsepower. Stock powerplant on the LX V6, EX V6, SX and SX Limited is the new 290hp 3.3L V-6. Performance is routed to either the front wheels or the optional Torque On Demand all-wheel drive system. Regardless of engine or driveline selection, the Sorento comes with the six-speed automatic transmission, Electric Motor Driven power steering and new FlexSteer with a choice of three steering modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport. Sorento's comfortable cabin offers five and seven-passenger seating, power-folding side mirrors, a heated wood trim steering wheel, memory driver seat and side mirror position, a power passenger seat and a cool ventilated driver's seat. A redesigned instrument panel combines large center gauge cluster with a seven-inch TFT LCD that projects a digital speedometer flanked by easy-to-read analog instruments for the tachometer, fuel level and engine temp. When middle and third rear seats are down, a spacious 141.5 cu. ft. of cargo room becomes available. Offered only in Ebony Black, Snow White Pearl and Titanium Silver, the SX Limited is set apart visually from the Sorento SX by unique self-leveling Xenon HID head lights, exclusive 19-inch chrome wheels and sporty red painted brake calipers. Inside, unique and luxurious Nappa leather trimmed seats, a wood-trimmed, heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats are all standard, and exclusive SXL badges adorn the exterior to complete the look.
